We make all of our cookies without dairy and gluten however they haven't been lab tested at this point and until that time we are unable to label them as dairy-free and gluten-free (it's illegal).
Yes we know there are lots of naughty people out there doing it already but we want to be completely transparent because some of our favourite people are highly allergic to dairy and/or gluten and we want to ensure they, and you, remain safe. So, at this stage we cannot make that claim. If in doubt, avoid our cookies.
What are your cookies made from?With each cookie we share a list of ingredients along with the nutrition panel so you can see what's in them. Where we can we use local ingredients although sometimes that's not possible, however we also choose THE BEST ingredients to make our cookies stand out above the rest.
How often do you bake?At this stage, we bake once or twice each week depending on demand.
When can I order?You can order anytime 24/7.
Can you do custom-made orders?Yes! We can create something specific for your occasion (we love painting chocolate and making abstract designs to go with your colour theme). We require at least 4 weeks' notice and a minimum order of 20 cookies. Get in touch with us at hello @ iconiccookies.co.nz and let us know what you need.
What if I want to buy a gift for a friend but don't know which flavour they'll like?We have Treat Boxes which are a great way to give a sample of our most popular cookies or you can let them choose by purchasing a gift voucher.
Why are your cookies more expensive than those on the supermarket shelf?Great question! We put a lot of time and energy into sourcing the best ingredients and ensuring we deliver the best tasting cookies. We use ingredients such as Solomon's Gold artisan chocolate and we handcraft each cookie without machines, artificial ingredients and mass production, just pure love and attention poured into each one.
We can't comment honesty without saying something offensive about the cookies you can buy off a supermarket shelf...we know you get our drift and we'd be hypocrites if we said we've never picked up a packet to shut the kids up at some point before Iconic Cookies!
How are my cookies packaged?Cookies are packaged in a cellulose clear bag which is 'home compostable' and then packed into a box to protect them in transit. While the box isn't compostable, you can recycle it, reuse it, or send it back to us for reusing if it's not damaged or soiled.
Packaging is one of the most challenging parts of shipping our cookies around New Zealand. First and foremost we need to ensure the cookies safe and sealed, then we need to ensure they don't end up on your doorstep broken and thirdly we want the most eco packaging we can get. We haven't nailed it yet but we're getting there!
How long will my cookies last?Depends. If you eat them in one sitting...not very long is our answer. Seriously though, they are best eaten within 5 days although they have a shelf life of about 3-4 weeks if they are stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You can also keep them in a sealed container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Where do you deliver?We deliver to street addresses in New Zealand only.
How much does it cost for shipping?NEW ZEALAND WIDE - If you spend $50.00 or more in one order your shipping is FREE!
NORTH ISLAND - If you spend under $50.00 there is a flat rate shipping fee of $6.00
SOUTH ISLAND - If you spend under $50.00 there is a flat rate shipping fee of $9.00
When will my order arrive?We send orders two to three times each week. Unfortunately our couriers cannot deliver at a specific time.
North Island 1-2 days
South Island 2-3 days
Rural delivery an additional 1-3 days on top of the above.
Be sure to order your cookies in advance of when you need if they're required for a special occasion.
What happens if I'm not at home when my cookies arrive?The courier company will leave the goods at the front if there’s a safe place to do so (unless you specify otherwise in the notes section at checkout).
Please note: we're unable to take responsibility if you've given the delivery team permission to leave it somewhere safe and you're unable to locate the item.
If the driver is unable to leave the package, the box will be sent back to us and a re-delivery will occur for an additional fee.
Can I cancel my order?Orders that are already prepared or dispatched cannot be cancelled or refunded. If you want to request a specific delivery time (e.g. in two weeks) put a note in the comments when you're at the checkout or get in touch with us at hello @ iconiccookies.co.nz
Do you offer wholesale buying?Not at this stage but we're open to having a conversation. Email us at hello @ iconiccookies.co.nz and tell us about your business and what it is about our cookies that's got you excited about them.
